Unlike my documentary work—where I follow your lead—the Box is a curated space where we lean into the fun, the silly, and the structured. It’s a modern, graphic way to see your family's 'characters' come to life.

What to Expect: Inside the Box

Studio Box sessions are a literal playground for your family’s personality. While my documentary work is about the quiet truth, the Box is about the loud, graphic, and joyful fun. Here is how we create your custom grid.

1. Preparation & Style

Once you’re on the calendar, I’ll send over a styling guide. Because the box is a clean, white slate, your outfit choices really pop. Whether you go with bold colors, coordinated neutrals, or even "superhero" costumes, we’ll make sure your look fits the modern aesthetic of the final grid.

2. The 20-Minute "Play Date"

Don’t worry about "posing"—the box does the work for us. I’ll guide your family through a series of prompts that encourage movement and interaction. We’ll have the kids jump, peek around corners, "pass" objects between boxes, and show off their best funny faces. It’s fast-paced and fun, which is perfect for short attention spans.

3. The Magic of Interaction

The best part of a Box session is the "story" we tell across the squares. We’ll capture images that look like you’re reaching into the next box or looking down at a sibling below you. It’s a puzzle of your family’s dynamic that comes together in the editing room.

4. Building Your Grid

Within [Number] weeks, you’ll receive a gallery of individual images. Then comes the best part: Creating your Collection. We will work together to select your favorite shots and arrange them into a 9-square, 4-square, or custom vertical grid that fits your home’s wall space perfectly.
